Monopoly Expansion – Go To Jail & Free Parking Jackpot (2025)

As of the 22nd November 2024, the first listing of the new Expansion packs has been spotted on eBay. This is despite the 2025 copyright. These are the first official Monopoly expansions since the 2009 release of Free Parking + Get Out of Jail Free – also ‘expanding’ the Free Parking and Jail spaces, respectively. These expansions promise to ‘Make the game faster’.

Free Parking Jackpot Expansion

Free Parking Jackpot contents:

  • Free Parking Spinner Attachment with base
  • 6 Spin Space Clips
  • 1 Deal Mobile Token
  • 20 Spin Chips
  • 32 Free Parking Bonus Cards
  • 8 Remainder Cards
  • Expansion Guide

It appears that the Chance and Community Spaces are replaced by Spin spaces. Landing on one of these spaces allows the player to spin the 8 segment wheel (Free House, Buy any Unowned Property, Deal Mobile, JACKPOT, -£50, -£100, -£150, -£200). In addition, there are 32 Bonus cards which are drawn alongside a Spin. Landing on Free Parking is the same as landing on a Spin space, as well as the added bonus of scooping the entire ‘Jackpot’. Finally, the expansion comes with an additional token of the Deal Mobile. The user of this token gets free properties and skips rent – use of this token is presumably decided by the Wheel and Bonus Cards.

Go To Jail Expansion

Go To Jail contents:

  • Jail Gameboard Attachment
  • Super Jail Gameboard Attachment
  • 32 Corruption Cards
  • 12 Super Corruption Cards
  • 2 Go to Jail Space Attachments
  • Heist Die with Stickers
  • Escape Die with Stickers
  • 6 Reminder Cards
  • Expansion Guide

The two Tax spaces either side of Go are replaced by Go To Jail spaces. Getting out of Jail now costs £100 instead of £50. When a player passes or lands on the new Corruption Square (replacing the original Jail), they take one ‘Corruption’ card. The game also adds a new tier of Jail called ‘Super Jail’. To escape Super Jail, the player must pay £300 or give a Super Corruption card to an opponent. Each turn spent in jail earns a Corruption or Super Corruption cards. The maximum a player may sit in jail is three turns – as is the rule in traditional Monopoly. Two new dice are added – Heist and an Escape die.

Both Expansion packs can be played together.

Reverse of Game

Monopoly – TCC Global Promotional Item (Retail Week Live 2017)

The mini-square box and contents are similar to that of Monopoly sets produced by GlobeTrade. This Monopoly has four coloured pawns instead of traditional tokens and only 20 Houses and 10 Hotels (a reduction of 12 and 2, respectively) – otherwise it is a complete, albeit smaller, Monopoly. The product itself is almost identical to the promotional Monopoly GlobeTrade produced for News Corp Australia – just six months prior.

The box lid itself has a number of errors. Firstly, instead of Mayfair and Park Lane – the cover shows the Dark Blue properties as ‘DARK BLUE SPACE #2’ and ‘DARK BLUE SPACE #1’ and Liverpool Street Station as ‘TRANSPORT SPACE #4’. Moreover, the Chance, Station and Community Chest symbols have been randomly printed on the lid in the background.

History – TCC Global and Retail Week Live 2017

TCC Global is a retail marketing company with its central Headquarters based in The Netherlands.

Helping retailers worldwide to build customer loyalty, drive revenues and have a lasting impact on local communities.

TCC Global

This Monopoly appears to have been distributed as a Promotional Item at Retail Week Live 2017 at TCC Global’s stand (#12). They had a Monopoly based game where players could win prizes by landing on the corresponding square on the Monopoly board.

As shown by the Tweet below – a Monopoly board game appears to have been one of the prizes on offer.

Other prizes on the game board were Angry Bird and Cars plushies.
